Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician - General - Pasadena

Job ID 16212 Location Los Angeles, California, United States Job Category Nursing Date posted 03/27/2026

Job Description

Ranked #1 in California* and on the “Best Hospitals” Honor Roll for the ninth year in a row, we are a national leader in providing high-quality, patient-centered healthcare that encompasses primary care as well as specialized medicine and conducting research that leads to lifesaving discoveries and innovations.

Cedars-Sinai is one of the largest non-profit medical centers in the U.S., with more than 2,993 physicians, 4,700 nurses and thousands of other healthcare professionals and staff. Cedars-Sinai Health System includes Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (our flagship hospital), the Academic Enterprise, Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital, our ambulatory diagnostic and treatment centers, and our Medical Network. In 2021, we partnered with and added Huntington Hospital Medical Center and Medical Network to our system. The Cedars system now comprises more than 2,300 beds with revenues exceeding $6 billion annually. It includes more than 50 outpatient venues spanning the entire region (e.g., Santa Monica and West Los Angeles, the South Bay, San Fernando Valley, and Pasadena).

Fair Oaks Women’s Health, which is part of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network, is looking for an OB/GYN Physician to join our busy suburban private practice. We currently have 9 OB/GYN doctors, 3 of whom are GYN only. OB call is 1 in 6 nights and would expand to 1 in 7 with the addition of a new physician.  We perform more than 700 deliveries per year, all at Huntington Hospital which is next door to our office. Our 10,000 square-foot office consists of 4 waiting rooms, 22 exam rooms, 3 ultrasound rooms, a 3-bed NST unit and an in-house lab.  You can research our group at www.fowh.com. Read our Yelp and Google Reviews. We are the premier Ob/Gyn group in Pasadena. We accept only private insurance (mainly PPO), no Medicaid or HMO.  We’ve been using an EHR since 2008 and in 2023 went live with CS-Link (epic) ambulatory EHR, the same EHR in use at Huntington Hospital. Five of our gynecologists are performing robotic TLH.

Our Cedars Medical Network in Pasadena includes a comprehensive local cancer program, ENT, Endocrinology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Primary Care. We are closely affiliated with Huntington Health Physicians (HHP), a multi-site group of more than 40 Internists and Pediatricians.  Huntington Hospital, a Pasadena institution for more than 100 years, has an 80-bed modern ED, a Level 3 NICU, a 12-bed Perinatal High-Risk Unit, 24-hour in-house Ob Anesthesia and a 24/7 Laborist Program (OBHG). The Hospital recently added 6 new Operating Rooms with 3 dedicated DaVinci robotic suites, and a cardiac emergency suite, one of the most advanced in the nation.

Our building, the Huntington Pavilion, has the Huntington Ambulatory Surgical Center one floor above us, and the region's top breast and body imaging centers one floor below us (Randall Breast Center and Hill Imaging). SCRC (So. Cal. Reproductive Center) has an IVF clinic on the first floor and HRC Fertility, founded in Pasadena, is blocks away. The City of Hope Cancer Center is minutes away and many of their specialists work out of Huntington. Shriners for Children has one of their premier pediatric orthopedic centers 2 blocks south.

Pasadena is a diverse community with many renowned institutions of art, entertainment, sports, education, and religion. We have the Rose Parade, Rose Bowl, Cal-Tech, JPL, Huntington Gardens and Library, Pasadena Playhouse, Ice House Comedy Club and many museums and theaters. All Saints Episcopal Church is local and Holy Family Catholic Church is in nearby South Pasadena. There are houses of worship for many Christian denominations, Jewish, Mormon, Buddhist, Baptist, Armenian, Greek, Muslim, Hindu and others.

We are minutes from Downtown Los Angeles via the Pasadena Freeway or the Metro Gold Line. LAX is 30 minutes away and Hollywood-Burbank Airport is even closer. The local private schools (religious and secular) rank amongst the best in California as do the public schools in nearby San Marino, South Pasadena, Arcadia and La Canada. If you’re a foodie, Pasadena has the largest number of restaurants per capita for any city its size in the US. If you like bakeries, we have Cupcake, Bundt Cake, French, European, Armenian, Asian, Vegan and even a dog bakery!

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • · California Medical License (MD or DO).
  • · OB/GYN Board-Certified or Eligible, U.S. trained Medical School and Residency.
  • · Dedicated work-ethic suited for a busy, high-end private practice (2/3 OB and 1/3 Gyn).
  • · Great bedside manner; gets along well with patients, colleagues, and staff.
  • · Excellent charting with timeliness and accuracy.
  • · 4th year OB/GYN residents are welcome to apply.
  • · Proficiency in spoken and written English. A second language is desirable.

We are looking for someone who wishes to put down roots in this community. We will help you build your practice and provide as much mentorship and support as you need. You’ll work in one attractive office and at one great hospital right next door to our office (a 4-minute walk from our office to L&D).

My research team welcomed me so warmly and has taught me so much in a short span of time. I am proud of the work we do every day to fight neurological disease and am even more excited for what is to come."

"As a Clinical Research Coordinator III, working within the Pulmonary department, Cedars-Sinai gave me the opportunity to contribute to breakthrough discoveries of various COVID-19 treatments that are either FDA approved, or given as emergency use authorization to patients within the United States. Along with being recognized as one of the best hospitals in the nation, Cedars-Sinai is an excellent place to work."

"Researchers in all disciplines have clinical partners that enable ready translation of exciting work in the laboratory for patient care with new therapies."

Neil Bhowmick

"I work as a Postdoctorate Fellow in the Pierson Lab at CSMCs Board of Governors Regenerative Medicine Institute. It has been wonderful working in such a collaborative and supportive environment. I am currently developing neurodegerative and neurodevelopment disease models using human Induced Pluiropotent Stem Cells (hiPSCs) derived from affected patients. By doing so, we hope to understand the underlying mechanisms of these diseases with the long-term goal of using this information to develop more effective and targeted novel therapeutics."

Phillip Kenny

Postdoctoral Scientist

"Most people say they want to quit their job after winning the lottery. But everything in life is finite. Money isn’t everything, and it doesn’t mean everything. I try to live by making a difference."

Jaryd Hochberger

RN, BSN

"I am a product of Cedars Sinai’s commitment to supporting nurses. I was the organization’s first Transition to Practice RN hire. When many other academic hospitals did not like to hire nurses without an acute background, Cedars Sinai saw it as an opportunity. They provided not only skills and learning opportunities to help me care for our patients but also provided mentorship that has shaped the professional I am today. Since the day they hired me, I have participated in multiple organization-wide initiatives and represented the organization. For me, Cedars Sinai not only supports its nurses, but also makes tomorrow’s healthcare leaders."
