Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a visionary Medical Director of Adult Genetics to expand and lead our clinical genetics and genomics programs for adult patients. What You’ll Do
As Medical Director, you will:
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary adult genetics program across Cedars-Sinai, integrating services across specialties and the lifespan.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Genomics Officer to implement best practices in clinical operations, quality, and innovation.
- Deliver outstanding clinical care in general adult genetics and specialty clinics.
- Oversee a team of geneticists, genetic counselors, and clinical staff to ensure streamlined, patient-centered care.
- Support research, education, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and participate in on-call coverage.
- Mentor the next generation of geneticists through teaching opportunities with residents, fellows, and students.

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.
Pay Range: $246,544 – $381,019 total cash compensation
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a strategic, collaborative leader with:
- A Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Board Certification in Clinical/Medical Genetics (ABMGG or equivalent)
- Active California medical license (or eligibility)
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in adult clinical genetics, preferably in an academic medical center
- Demonstrated leadership and program development experience
- A strong record of excellence in clinical care, education, and research
- Eligibility for faculty appointment at Cedars-Sinai
- LEAN or other quality/continuous improvement training or certification, or demonstrated experience in quality/continuous improvement
