Job Summary

The Executive Director, Healthcare Performance Analytics, is accountable for leveraging data-driven intelligence to
drive clinical and operational excellence across Cedars-Sinai Health System. This role oversees enterprise-wide
data systems and services, developing, implementing, and maintaining various data and analytic solutions in a
customer-friendly manner.

As a key leadership role in all aspects of analytics delivery strategy, the Executive Director is accountable for
project completion to senior leadership, sets operational priorities/objectives, and is responsible for
tactical/strategic analytic efforts. The role requires a strong background in healthcare analytics, demonstrated
commitment to improving patient outcomes, proven experience driving operational efficiency, and the leadership
capabilities to lead a team of talented professionals to continuously advance Cedars-Sinai's position as an
analytics leader in healthcare.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Directs the advancement and implementation of analytics and AI solutions to measure and benchmark
    performance across quality, safety, population health, patient experience, and health equity; provides
    strategic leadership in establishing organizational performance metrics.
  • Establishes and leads enterprise strategy for quality-related data submissions to regulatory agencies, clinical
    registries, and payers.
  • Serves as a strategic partner to senior executives, clinical and operational leaders to align data, analytics,
    and AI capabilities to organizational priorities; represents analytics function in executive-level planning and
    decision-making forums.
  • Directs the creation of data-driven solutions to strengthen network integrity, provider alignment strategies,
    and strategic growth initiatives; evaluates market trends and competitive analytics to inform organizational
    decision-making.
  • Provides executive oversight for analytics capabilities that enhance workforce productivity and operational
    efficiency; establishes performance standards and metrics to drive continuous improvement throughout
    health system operations.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to establish performance goals and design incentive plans;
    accountable for translating organizational objectives into measurable analytics frameworks that drive desired
    outcomes.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive analytics solutions to optimize patient flow and resource utilization;
    evaluates and determines strategic initiatives to enhance capacity management across ambulatory and
    inpatient settings.
  • Provides consultative leadership to operational executives, facilitating data-driven decisions and operational
    excellence; serves as a trusted advisor on analytics strategy and implementation across the organization.
  • Champions the adoption of analytics and AI solutions throughout the enterprise.
  • Establishes cross-functional partnerships and collaborations to ensure analytics solutions address complex
    business needs; oversees integration of diverse data sources to create comprehensive insights and drive
    meaningful outcomes.
  • Evaluates and implements enterprise-wide analytics standards and methodologies.
  • Builds, leads, and mentors a high-performing team of analytics professionals; establishes departmental goals
    and objectives, evaluates performance, and fosters professional development and succession planning.
  • Oversees recruitment, retention, and development strategies for analytics talent; establishes a culture of
    innovation, continuous learning, and excellence within the department aligned with organizational values.
  • Manages operating and capital expenses for the department; evaluates resource requirements, performs risk
    analysis, and prioritizes investments to maximize return on analytics initiatives.
  • Establishes service excellence standards and accountability measures; ensures the consistent delivery of
    trusted, timely, and high-impact analytics solutions to stakeholders throughout the organization.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required - Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, analytics, computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field. 

Master's Degree Preferred - Master's degree in healthcare administration, business, analytics, computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field. 

Doctorate Degree Preferred - Clinical fields such as physician, nursing, PA, pharmacy,
medical or nursing informatics is preferred.

Required Experience:

10 years - At least 10 years of experience in health care, with knowledge of current healthcare literature, research methodology, healthcare delivery systems, financial/ reimbursement issues, and Medical Center/Medical Staff organizations. 

8 years - Eight years of experience in healthcare analytics, with a focus on clinical and operational performance
