  • Collaborate with surgical faculty, APP team, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, reduce length of stay (LOS) and readmissions, and support staff education and program growth.
  • Drive measurable improvements in efficiency, LOS, readmissions, and care coordination—supporting a high-impact, results-focused program with significant operational and financial benefits.
  • Act as a clinical lead for wound care. Carry out daily rounds on inpatients and routine outpatient wound care clinics.
  • Instruct patients and their families in wound care procedures, prevention measures, and adjustments to daily habits. Deliver support and counseling to patients and their families related to wound management and treatment plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences. Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers and specialists as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care. Stay current with advancements in wound care practices through continuing education and professional development. Contribute to the development and revision of standardized wound care protocols and policies across the hospital. Improve staff education and standardize care across inpatient units.
  • Provide back-up coverage for the plastic surgery inpatient service.

This opportunity is perfect for someone passionate about wound care, focused on quality, and motivated to contribute significantly. If you want to be part of a team that embraces partnership, inventive care approaches, and patient happiness, we encourage you to submit your application.

Jaryd Hochberger

RN, BSN

"I am a product of Cedars Sinai’s commitment to supporting nurses. I was the organization’s first Transition to Practice RN hire. When many other academic hospitals did not like to hire nurses without an acute background, Cedars Sinai saw it as an opportunity. They provided not only skills and learning opportunities to help me care for our patients but also provided mentorship that has shaped the professional I am today. Since the day they hired me, I have participated in multiple organization-wide initiatives and represented the organization. For me, Cedars Sinai not only supports its nurses, but also makes tomorrow’s healthcare leaders."
