Breast Services Imaging Quality Coordinator - 8-Hour Day Shift

Each year, almost 500,000 inpatient and outpatient exams and procedures are performed and interpreted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Our radiologists & imaging specialists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology in their respective subspecialties. Our subspecialized imaging physicians, American College of Radiology certified technologists and customer-service oriented staff provide our patients with brand new imaging technologies and innovative treatment options in a compassionate environment.
Summary of Essential Duties:- The Breast Imaging Quality Coordinator acts as a subject matter expert and is responsible for planning, organizing and directing regulatory and quality control activities for Breast Imaging.
- The role will demonstrate a willingness to interface with advanced technology, assures compliance with monitoring activities, and recommends changes as warranted.
- Provides education and feedback to technologists to enhance the patient care and image quality opportunities.
- Works closely with the Mammography Technologists, Physicians, RNs, and Physicists and to ensure the department operates within compliance of MQSA regulations, ACR, and state mammography regulations.
- Performs all weekly, semiannual, and annual quality control tests as established by ACR and the Mammography unit manufacturer.
- Prepares for and participates in annual MQSA inspection.
- Identifies staff performance and/or quality gaps and mentors and coaches staff members who require additional training and/or supervision to meet competency and/or correct performance.
- Works closely with Technical Manager to devise and follow Performance Improvement Action Plans.
- Works directly with patients, explaining and scheduling recommended Breast Imaging exams and procedures and may perform procedures.

Our compensation philosophy
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
