Cedars-Sinai's ED, with 60 patient beds, is a Level I Trauma Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, Level III Geriatric Care ED, STEMI Receiving Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center and Paramedic Base Station. As a Registered Nurse IV in our ED you are responsible and accountable for the supervision and application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care for the specialty patient population.
- You are an expert clinician who demonstrates a high standard of knowledge and expertise in a specialty as well as general nursing.
- You consistently demonstrate excellence in all areas of nursing practice including nursing care delivery, staff education, research, and collaboration.
- You manage complex, unpredictable patient care situations and are a nursing leader.
- You serve as a resource to the nursing staff, the unit, the organization, and the community to promote the advancement of nursing.
- You apply clinical knowledge regarding standard of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings.
- You demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements in patient assignment making delegations of tasks, documentation and oversee care for the delivery team.
- You demonstrate a dedication of customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.You demonstrate leadership through initiative, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

Educational Requirements:
- BSN or higher from an accredited school of nursing
Licenses/Certifications:
- California State RN License required
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications (ACLS, PALS)
- EDAP or ENPC and TNCC or ATCN required
- Nursing Specialty Certification required (i.e. CEN)
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years acute RN experience in specialty area
- Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned area

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
