What will you be doing in this role?

Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisor, the FSW I will perform duties related to patient food service, trayline, dish duties, and sanitation. 

In addition, the Food Service Worker I will be responsible for the following:

  • Wash patient dishes, trays pots, and pans
  • Mopping floors
  • Distribute meal carts to nursing units for nursing staff to pass trays to patients
  • Collect trays from units
  • Restocking pantry, storeroom, freezer, and refrigerator
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Tuition Loan: Provides up to $2,000 per calendar year for approved formal certificate or degree programs including prerequisites for approved degree programs. A tuition loan and reimbursement may, with appropriate approvals, be combined for a maximum of $2,600.
    • Critical Pipeline Loan: Tuition loans up to $5,250 for specific degree programs at approved, accredited schools identified by the organization. This program is for attaining the designated health science degrees. 
    • Employees may have their loans Forgiven if they continue eligible employment for 12 months after completion of the term for which the loan was given

Hours: 6 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. Variable 8 Hour Shift Start 


Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (required).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of foodservice experience (preferred).
  • ServSafe food handler card (required).
