What will you be doing in this role:
The Clinical LIS Applications Analyst provides operational and laboratory information system (LIS)/application build and maintenance, including laboratory middleware and ancillary applications such as HLA, point of care (POC), and blood gas systems. Completes assignments to meet customer goals and desired outcomes. Supports the implementation of lab applications along with the integration of those systems. Supports teams with lab-specific server and database maintenance, interface and network troubleshooting, and system design. Performs modifications to existing applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Provides analysis for requests and completes assignments/projects independently under the direction of senior analysts and the Team Lead.
- Participates in the support, maintenance, build, testing, and upgrades of clinical laboratory information systems (LIS), ancillary laboratory applications, middleware, and interfaces.
- Provides support and maintenance of laboratory applications including:
- Servers (including AWS) and certificates
- Databases
- Network configurations
- Interfaces
- Users
- Possess operational knowledge of the clinical laboratories.
- Participates in optimization of laboratory operational workflow processes with end-users/business owners.
- Performs analysis, build, testing, validation, documentation, and implementation of assignments/projects.
- Translate requirements/concepts into system specifications and configuration requirements.
- Interacts with operational end-users, EIS, system, and support vendors as needed.
- Ensures the research and documentation of project requirements, test plans, testing, and validation is completed.
- Provides training to team members as needed based on testing/troubleshooting documentation as well as updates knowledge base articles and policies/procedures.
- Provides on-call support during off hours.

Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
Three (3) plus years of experience in LIS (laboratory information systems) application build and laboratory-specific ancillary application build, implementation of lab applications, server and database support, and upgrade activities.
Clinical Pathology, Anatomic Pathology, HLA, Point of Care, and Blood Gas laboratory operations knowledge/experience required.
Clinisys SQ Lab (fka Sunquest Lab) (LIS) and Epic Beaker (LIS) experience and certification strongly preferred.
Point of Care, Blood Gas, and HLA laboratory application experience strongly preferred.
Attention to detail, skill in working independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple priorities, interpersonal skills, including oral and written communications, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills required.
Troubleshoots effectively and provides recommendations.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, or related field. (preferred)

Our compensation philosophy
We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location. Our range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills: relevant experience and training, education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
