Nurse Practitioner - Kidney Transplant Center - Full Time - 10hr Days

Our center performs over 250 kidney transplants annually, catering to both adults and children, alongside approximately 10 pancreas transplants each year—a significant volume for such a rare procedure. We specialize in addressing complex kidney cases and offer advanced robot-assisted surgeries to improve surgical precision for suitable kidney donor candidates.
Our dedication to furthering transplant care is demonstrated through our active participation in research and clinical trials, aiming to broaden the frontiers of transplantation. This has led us to become a significant referral center for challenging cases at a national level, delivering expert care and hope to patients throughout the nation.
Cedars-Sinai, a world-class healthcare organization, is seeking a highly motivated and proven Nurse Practitioner to join our esteemed team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work alongside healthcare professionals to deliver seamless care to patients in the Kidney Transplant department.
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretations.
- Develop Personalized Treatment Plans: Create tailored treatment plans and communicate them effectively to patients and their families.
- Monitor Patient Progress: Track patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Participate in Research and Quality Improvement: Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Educate Patients: Provide education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
Education:
- Master’s of Nursing Degree (MSN) required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required
License/Certification:
- Current State of California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License.
- National certification.
- Current ACLS or BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- DEA license required (schedule 2-5).
Experience:
- Prior experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment, particularly in assessing and preparing patients for kidney transplantation, is highly desirable.

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
