Position Overview:
Registered Nurses in this role will oversee the quality aspects of the transplant and cellular therapy program, ensuring excellent patient care delivery and outcomes for individuals undergoing advanced cellular therapies. This includes bone marrow and stem cell transplants, CAR T-cell therapy, and immune effector cell therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and maintain data in accordance with clinical regulatory standards and financial requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and research activities to advance best practices.
- Contribute to the development of practice guidelines, clinical pathways, and performance metrics using data to enhance the program.
- Prepare and submit FACT accreditation applications as well as coordinate, facilitate and oversee accreditation inspections.
- Demonstrated skill in managing care for both donors and recipients with a strong understanding of cellular therapies and transplant protocols.
- Ability to manage complex logistics, prioritize competing demands, and coordinate care across multiple disciplines and settings.
- Exceptional interpersonal and teaching skills for engaging with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in maintaining thorough and accurate medical records and regulatory documents.
- Experience in mentoring, educating, and supporting less experienced staff, consistent with RN III expectations as an advanced clinical leader.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and participation in ongoing quality initiatives and research.
Requirements:
- Current unrestricted California RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Master of Science in Nursing preferred
- 3 years minimum of experience in acute care, oncology, or transplant nursing with progressively increasing responsibilities, aligning with the RN III career stage.
Certifications: Advanced certifications in oncology (OCN) or transplant nursing (ONCC) or willing to obtain within one (1) year from start of hire ( for external applicants ).
